Putting Players and Development First

Building community hockey one player at a time since 1967.

We offer more professionally-led practices than any other community-based minor hockey association in the Lower Mainland.

Our goal is to create an enjoyable hockey experience for recreational players while offering high-performance hockey players every opportunity to take the next step in minor hockey.

We are proud of our grass-roots community connections and we strive to foster a welcoming and respectful sports culture. Good citizenship is as important as athleticism to us.

Striving for excellence

Providing personal, physical and team skill development for enthusiastic & dedicated hockey players & their families in West Vancouver.

Fun

The foundation of our learning philosophy and the reason why we play the sport. Hockey is fun and more: friendship, skill, exercise, agility, strength, creativity and life skills.

Our Learning Process

WVMHA has implemented a new individual player assessment and reporting program to provide individual feedback over the course of the season.

Value

No membership fees and no monthly dues. WVMHA offers the best combination of professional coaching, reasonable and abundant ice times and excellent facilities to offer the best value on the North Shore.

Volunteers

What makes all of this possible. We value our volunteers and strive to help them be successful. From managers' manuals to our new, comprehensive mentoring program for new volunteer coaches we are putting our know-how and resources behind our volunteers.
